Job Summary

Alberta Truss is seeking a results-driven Sales Representative to promote and sell roof truss systems and Engineered Wood Products (EWP) to residential and multi-family builders. This role focuses on customer relationship management, project quoting, and business development, working closely with internal design and production teams to deliver competitive, buildable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with builders, contractors, and developers
  • Sell roof truss packages and engineered wood products
  • Prepare and manage quotes, bids, and pricing proposals
  • Review architectural drawings to define project scope and pricing requirements
  • Act as the primary customer contact from initial inquiry through order placement
  • Coordinate with design and production teams to ensure accurate pricing and timelines
  • Track sales pipeline, forecasts, and customer activity
  • Identify new market opportunities and grow assigned territory
  • Resolve customer issues related to pricing, scope, and scheduling

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of sales experience in construction or building materials
  • Strong understanding of residential construction practices
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • Self-motivated with a customer-focused mindset

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience selling trusses, EWP, lumber, or structural components
  • Construction or technical education
  • Familiarity with truss or EWP estimating workflows
