Sales & Design Representative – Roof Trusses & Engineered Wood Products (EWP) Alberta Truss is seeking a technically inclined Sales & Design Representative to manage both customer relationships and the preliminary design of roof truss and EWP systems. This hybrid role is ideal for someone with hands-on truss or EWP design experience who enjoys working directly with customers to develop efficient structural solutions from concept through order placement. Key Responsibilities Develop and manage customer relationships Sell roof truss and EWP packages while providing technical input during the sales process Create preliminary truss layouts, floor systems, and material take-offs using MiTek software Review architectural drawings for design feasibility, efficiency, and scope accuracy Prepare and present pricing, design concepts, and value-engineered solutions to customers Coordinate closely with engineering, production, and project management teams Transition projects smoothly from sales to finalized design and production Provide technical guidance and problem-solving support to customers Manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines and quality expectations Qualifications 3+ years of experience in truss and/or EWP design Proficiency with MiTek design software Strong understanding of Canadian building codes and CSA requirements Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences Ability to manage customer relationships and technical responsibilities simultaneously Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in a sales, estimating, or customer-facing design role Engineering Technology diploma or construction-related education Experience with residential and multi-family projects Knowledge of LVL, I-joists, floor systems, and load path considerations What We Offer Commission or performance-based incentives Collaborative work environment with strong technical support Opportunity for career growth Seniority Level Mid-Senior level Employment Type Full-time Job Function Sales and Business Development Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Alberta Truss Ltd. by 2x #J-18808-Ljbffr
