Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to transport freight and goods across designated routes. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and professionalism, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with all transportation regulations. Candidates with skills in forklift operation, heavy equipment handling, and automotive repair are highly valued to support various operational needs.

Duties

  • Safely operate trucks for local or long-distance freight deliveries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
  • Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed
  • Inspect vehicles regularly to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues promptly
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs, records, and documentation for each trip
  • Assist with vehicle maintenance and basic automotive repairs when necessary
  • Coordinate with dispatchers to optimize routes and delivery schedules
  • Ensure cargo is secured properly to prevent damage during transit
  • Comply with company policies and federal/state transportation regulations at all times

Requirements

  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with clean driving record
  • Experience in commercial driving, freight transportation, or related fields
  • Ability to operate forklifts and heavy equipment safely and efficiently (certification preferred)
  • Knowledge of automotive repair basics for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment and handle freight securely
  • Physical stamina to load/unload cargo and perform vehicle inspections
  • Prior experience with automotive repair or maintenance is a plus
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening prior to employment

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $23.19-$29.76 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
