Click hereYOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:Reporting to the Near Surface Supervisor, you will be part of the Near Surface Department. You will be responsible for supporting mine operations at the Near Surface Portal and carrying out underground production drilling and other mining tasks as directed, within the construction department. You will also ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle's values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.Completed & ongoing competence with required core modules;Operate longhole drilling rig in an underground environment; additional work may include loading explosives, installation, and grouting of cables for support.Prepare daily reports of all drilling activities which include footage drilled, ground conditions, time spent performing other activities besides drilling, reporting supplies consumed;Competently perform all Mining 1, 2, 3 & 4 functions (Services & Construction);Able to drill with CMAC and air buggy drills;Read and understand planned drill patterns;Wash, scale and prepare areas for safe mark-up activities;Ability to drill at a high standard and control deviation;Do minor repairs to rig: Replace hoses, shank adaptors etc.;Timing/Firing of EZ Dets and DigiShot;Demonstrate competence in relevant UG Hardrock common core;Housekeeping – keep work areas clean free from hazards;Communication – listen to and communicate with others, keep accurate records on 5 point card, aligning with daily tasks;Teamwork – work with others to meet and where possible exceed daily KPI's set by Supervisor;Manage your own health and safety while at work and avoid adversely affecting the health and safety of others;Comply with all instructions given by the employer, which relate to health and safety;Other duties as assigned.WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEEDMinimum 2 years experience as a Miner 2 or equivalent (>6 years UG)Physically Fit, self starter with can do attitudeMust be able to work independentlyGood Communication skills are essentialStrong understanding of longhole mining methods and proceduresBlasting experience is an assetExperience Drilling on a Simba an assetUnderground common core is requiredTolerance for hot / cold and humid environmentDemonstrated Safety awarenessYour Work Schedule:Schedule: 7/7 schedule at our Macassa Mine in Kirkland Lake, ON.Compensation StatementIn accordance with applicable legislation, the expected compensation includes base salary and potential bonus opportunity.
