Click here **YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE**: Reporting to the Longhole Supervisor, you will be part of the Mine Department. The Longhole Driller is responsible for supporting mine operations and carrying out underground production drilling and other mining tasks as directed, within the construction department. You will also ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment. - Completed & ongoing competence with required core modules: - Blasting experience is an asset - Underground common core is required - Tolerance for hot / cold and humid environment - Demonstrated Safety awareness - Timing/Firing of EZ Dets and DigiShot - Blasting with EZ Dets and DigiShot is an asset - Operate longhole drilling rig in an underground environment Additional work may include loading explosives, installation, and grouting of cables for support - Prepare daily reports of all drilling activities which include footage drilled, ground conditions, time spent performing other activities besides drilling, reporting supplies consumed, etc - Competently perform all Mining 1, 2, 3 & 4 functions (Services & Construction) - Able to drill with stopemaster and air buggy drills - Read and understand planned drill patterns - Wash, scale and prepare areas for safe mark-up activities - Ability to drill at a high standard and control deviation - Do minor repairs to rig: Replace hoses, shank adaptors etc - Communication - listen to and communicate with others, keep accurate records on 5 point card, aligning with daily tasks - Capable of working in a team and supports members of the team that need assistance - Works within their capabilities and provides help to other team members when capable If outside of their abilities, then wait for the longhole supervisor to assist - Proficient in longhole drilling of inverse/drop raises, production, cables, service holes and test holes (As per approved Macassa Mine Progression Plan) - Assistance is defined but not limited to someone on the team that needs help with: - Drilling raise or production holes - Collaring/drilling a hole in poor ground conditions - Offsetting a hole if unable to follow engineering prints - Drill maintenance - General inquiries regarding longhole drilling best practices - Comply with all instructions given by the employer, which relate to health and safety - Shift work - Day and Night - Ground to waist height up to 40kg occasionally, 10 kg frequently - Waist to shoulder height up to 40kg as capable - Occasional to frequent heavy push pull Occasional sitting - Constant standing Constant walking over uneven ground - Occasional to frequent working in awkward positions - squatting, kneeling, bent over - High physical strength and endurance demands - Environment conditions can be: hot, cold, humid, wet, dusty Lighting is restricted May be excessive noise Airflow is artificial - Ground condition s may be wet, muddy slippery, sloped inclines, loose rocks and obstacles on the ground **WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED** - Minimum 2 years experience as a Miner 2 or equivalent (>6 years UG) - Must be able to work independently - Good Communication skills are essential - Strong understanding of longhole mining methods and procedures - Blasting experience is an asset **Your Work Schedule**: - Schedule: 7/7 day shift only schedule at our Macassa Mine Site in Kirkland Lake, ON. **Job**: Maintenance **Primary Location**: Ontario-Kirkland Lake **Organization**: Agnico Eagle Mines **Schedule**: Full-time **Shift Schedule**: 7/7 **Employment Type Code**: Hourly **Posting End Date**: Aug 8, 2025, 10:59:00 PM
