The Role:

As a 2D Animator/Video Editor, you'll play a key role in developing dynamic and visually compelling motion content that enhances our client's storytelling across digital platforms. Working closely with our Creative, Post-Production, and Strategy teams, you'll translate concepts into engaging animated visuals that bring industrial brands to life. You'll create everything from logo animations and motion idents to social content, explainer videos, and digital campaigns, always with an eye for craft, detail, and storytelling.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Create high-quality 2D motion graphics and animations for digital campaigns, videos, presentations, and other creative deliverables.
  • Develop visual assets and compositions in Adobe After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop, ensuring consistency with brand and project guidelines.
  • Design and animate video infographics, logo animations, motion idents, and explainer content that effectively communicate key messages.
  • Use motion design principles to enhance storytelling and elevate the visual impact of creative work.
  • Composite drone footage, 3D renders, on-site video, tracking, masking, rotoscoping into seamless narratives.
  • Collaborate with designers, editors, and strategists to conceptualize and execute motion design concepts from storyboard to final delivery.
  • Capable of writing expressions and automation within After Effects to improve animation efficiency and creative flexibility.
  • Incorporate and experiment with 3D elements and plugins within After Effects to enhance depth and realism.
  • Work with secondary software tools such as Blender, Cinema 4D, and Premiere Pro to support 3D and video production workflows.
  • Prepare final motion assets for use across social, web, broadcast, and event environments.
  • Manage multiple projects, timelines, and feedback rounds while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  • Stay current with motion design trends, tools, and techniques, sharing insights with the broader creative team.
  • Support the development of visual concepts, storyboards, and pitch materials for client presentations.
  • Assist with editing, compositing, and integrating live-action footage as needed.
  • Other duties as required.

A little bit about you:

  • 3+ years of professional experience in motion design, animation, or related creative field.
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and Photoshop is required.
  • Working knowledge of Blender, Cinema 4D, and 3D plugins for After Effects are an asset.
  • Experience in the industrial sector and/or an agency setting is an asset.
  • Experience in creating video infographics, logo animations, motion idents, and brand-driven animations.
  • Ability to write and apply expressions within After Effects to streamline animation workflows.
  • Understanding of animation principles, design composition, and timing.
  • Ability to take direction well, respond constructively to feedback, and work collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organization skills.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing both technical ability and creative range in motion design.

  • Competitive salary: $70,000-$90,000 (based on experience)
