Position Overview

As a Recreation Experience Coordinator, you will ensure the safe and smooth operation of our pool facilities, lead Aquafit classes, and help create a welcoming and engaging experience for all facility users. A strong background in recreation, sports management, kinesiology, or a related field is required, along with the ability to deliver group fitness programming.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a 40–60 minute Aquafit class for participants of varying fitness levels
  • Monitor and maintain safety standards in and around the pool area
  • Conduct regular checks of pool equipment, water chemistry, and facility cleanliness
  • Perform daily light maintenance (e.g., cleaning filters, skimming pool, tidying deck)
  • Open and close the pool area following safety and facility protocols
  • Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies and incidents
  • Organize and support recreational activities and ensure positive guest experiences
  • Communicate with fellow staff to ensure smooth operations during shifts

Requirements

  • Background in Recreation, Sports Management, Kinesiology, or related field
  • Experience or can lead a group fitness or Aquafit classes (preferred)
  • Comfortable handling pool chemicals (PPE & training provided)
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication, reliability, and professionalism
  • Must be available full-time, including evenings and at least one weekend day
