Solutions Consultant Business Central

Full-Time — $80,000 to $100,000 (Toronto or Remote in Canada)

About the Role

We are looking for a Business Central functional consultant first, who can optimize processes,

improve workflows, support end-users — and handle light AL development when needed. You

must understand how Business Central works operationally (finance, supply chain, inventory,

purchasing, etc.), and you should be comfortable building small automations using the Power

Platform.

This role works closely with finance, warehouse, production, and operations teams to improve

efficiency and support our ongoing ERP enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

Functional (Primary Focus)

  • Analyse and improve processes across Finance, Inventory, Warehousing, Purchasing, and
  • Sales
  • Configure Business Central modules, permissions, workflows, and approvals
  • Troubleshoot issues and support end-users
  • Train staff, create SOPs, and ensure proper ERP adoption
  • Recommend best practices and drive continuous improvement

Light Development (Secondary)

  • Modify and maintain small AL extensions
  • Support minor customizations, integrations, and reports
  • Assist with data cleanups and migrations
  • Work with APIs only when required (not full integration development)

Power Platform

  • Build automations using Power Automate
  • Create/manage Power BI dashboards
  • Support low-code process improvements as needed

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years Business Central hands-on experience (functional consulting)
  • Strong understanding of accounting and financial workflows
  • Ability to perform light AL development (extensions, small customizations)
  • Strong experience with Power Automate + Power BI
  • Experience optimizing supply chain & inventory workflows
  • Ability to work independently and communicate with stakeholders clearly
  • Strong documentation and problem-solving skills

Bonus Experience (Nice to Have, Not Required)

  • Manufacturing or food processing environment experience
  • Power Apps exposure
  • Experience supporting BC SaaS updates

Education

  • Diploma or Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, or related
  • fields
  • Microsoft certifications are an asset

Location

Toronto preferred.

Hybrid or fully remote within Canada is available for strong candidates.
