Job Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will work closely with family physicians and the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive clinical care in a family practice / primary care clinic setting.

Positions are available for:

  • Full-Time: 1.0 FTE (37.5 hours/week)
  • Part-Time: 0.2 FTE (minimum 7.5 hours/week)

Schedule & Hours

  • Full-Time: 37.5 hours per week
  • Part-Time: Minimum 7.5 hours per week

Required Qualifications (Must Haves)

  • Graduation from a recognized Practical Nursing (LPN) program
  • Registered and in good standing with BCCNM
  • Valid CPR "A" and First Aid Certificate
  • Valid Occupational First Aid Level 1
  • Competent in electronic medical records (preferably Oscar) documentation
  • English communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • Proof of required vaccinations
  • Successful Criminal Record Check (Ministry of Justice)
  • Eligibility to work in Canada

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical nursing care in a primary care medical clinic
  • Observe, assess, document, and monitor patients' physical and mental health
  • Assist family physicians during patient visits and procedures
  • Identify normal and abnormal clinical findings
  • Perform wound assessments and ongoing wound care
  • Support mental health assessments and recognize deviations from baseline
  • Administer and organize immunization programs
  • Educate patients and families on healthcare resources and community supports
  • Assist with care coordination and transition planning

Assets / Preferred Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of LPN experience (clinic or primary care preferred)
  • Previous experience in Long-Term Care (asset)
  • Interest in aesthetic medicine (asset, not required)
  • New graduates welcome — training and mentorship provided

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $28.00-$42.00 per hour
