Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Building Maintenance professional to join our team. This role is essential for ensuring the functionality, safety, and aesthetic appeal of our facilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and demonstrate excellent customer service skills. You will be responsible for performing various maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring that all systems operate efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repairs and maintenance on electrical systems, plumbing, small electric issues, repair walls, deal with stoves, Refrigerator and other mechanical systems.
  • Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders and maintenance schedules as well as taking note of all repairs.
  • Fabricate parts or components as needed to support maintenance tasks.
  • Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues effectively.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff,
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with safety regulations.

Skills

  • Proficient in CMMS software for tracking maintenance activities.
  • Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with staff and tenants.
  • Proficient in English and French both written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid plumbing knowledge for troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Strong construction knowledge for maintaining various building systems.
  • Ability to fabricate components when necessary for repairs or improvements.
