WHERE YOU COME IN
We are looking for a Director, Corporate Partnerships to join our team at Make-A-Wish Canada. Reporting to the VP of Corporate Partnerships, in this role you will lead the growth and stewardship of corporate fundraising partnerships across Western Canada, driving revenue through new and existing relationships. This role provides strategic leadership, manages a regional team, and ensures aligned execution of corporate fundraising initiatives.
This role can be based in Vancouver or Calgary and is a full-time, hybrid, permanent position. The hiring range for this role is $99,600-$106,000.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Develop, grow, and steward multi-year corporate partnerships across Western Canada, with a focus on high growth markets in British Columbia, the Yukon Territories, Alberta, the Northwest Territories and Saskatchewan.
- Identify and secure new corporate partnership opportunities, including sponsorships, philanthropic gifts, cause-related marketing, employee engagement, and gift-in-kind.
- Serve as a senior ambassador for Make-A-Wish in assigned markets with corporate and community stakeholders.
- Lead, coach, and develop a regional corporate partnerships team.
- Collaborate with Philanthropy, Community Partnerships, and Marketing teams to align partnership strategies.
- Champion One Team Leadership and foster a mission-driven, inclusive culture.
- Represent the organization in donor meetings, media engagements, and community events as required.
- Track partnership activity and performance using Salesforce CRM and prepare reports as needed.
- Align regional partnership strategies with national fundraising priorities.
- Support achievement of significant corporate revenue targets.
- Other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Fundraising, Communications, or related field (CFRE an asset).
- Minimum 7 years of experience in corporate fundraising, sponsorship, or business development.
- Minimum 3 years of people leadership or team management experience.
- Proven success securing and stewarding high-value corporate partnerships.
- Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent relationship-building, communication, and presentation abilities.
- Experience using CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and Microsoft Office tools.
- Access to reliable transportation to and from the office, as well as for attendance at events, donor meetings, or other local needs.
- A clear Criminal Background Check will be required.
YOUR WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Hybrid work model, with 2 days in-office per week and 3 days remote. Travel to local event venues or donor/sponsor locations may be required. Occasional evening and weekend work may also be required.

- Work under pressure of tight deadlines, balancing high volume workload, and with multiple demands and changing priorities.
