Burnaby BC VN E, Canada QE HOME Full time

Come work with us

QE Home is a proudly Canadian, family-owned bedding and home brand with retail locations across the country. Our sister brand, Wilet, offers a modern, design-forward approach to bedding and home essentials, with a focus on materiality, calm, and thoughtful living.

Both brands operate within a collaborative in-house design studio, where graphic designers work alongside copywriters, photographers, and textile designers to bring products and campaigns to life across retail, packaging, digital, and web touchpoints.

The Role

As a Graphic Designer at QE Home, you'll be part of a multi-disciplinary design studio, collaborating closely with other graphic designers and the copy, photography, and textile design teams. This is a mid-level role for a designer who is confident in production-ready execution, understands retail and e-commerce environments, and can work efficiently within established brand systems.

You'll support both QE Home and Wilet across packaging, in-store marketing, digital campaigns, website marketing updates, and ongoing studio initiatives.

What You'll Be Working On

  • Create impactful print and digital marketing materials, including in-store signage, weekly email newsletters, website content updates, and B2B outreach collateral.

  • Lead the design and development of innovative, visually appealing, and functional packaging that aligns with brand and sustainability guidelines, meets marketing objectives, and integrates seamlessly into retail displays.

  • Incorporate sustainability practices into packaging design while ensuring regulatory compliance.

  • Prepare production-ready artwork files, ensuring accuracy, regulatory compliance, and brand consistency.

  • Collaborate with printers, product manufacturers, and cross-functional teams to maintain quality standards.

  • Stay ahead of design trends, competitor strategies, and emerging materials or techniques.

  • Organize and maintain design files, production specifications, and related documentation.

What Will Set You Up for Success

  • 3–5 years of professional graphic design experience, with a strong focus on packaging and retail marketing.

  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Xd) and proficiency in packaging design.

  • Strong portfolio showcasing packaging design work in retail or consumer-focused industries.

  • Knowledge of printing techniques, packaging materials, and production processes.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines without compromising quality.

  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with both internal teams and external partners.

  • A passion for creativity, attention to detail, and continuous learning.

What You'll Need to Thrive Here

  • Hold a degree in Graphic Design, Packaging Design, Marketing, or a related field.

  • Leverage previous experience in retail or consumer marketing environments to deliver impactful designs.

  • Adapt quickly to shifting priorities, accept feedback with openness, and apply proactive problem-solving.

  • Maintain exceptional attention to detail in all creative and production work.

  • Bring fresh, innovative ideas that push creative boundaries while staying on-brand.

  • Communicate effectively with team members and external partners to move projects forward.

  • Contribute to a collaborative team culture while taking ownership of individual responsibilities.

How We Invest in You

  • Competitive salary: The typical hiring range for this position is $45,000 to $50,000 per annum.

  • The final salary may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

  • Hybrid working environment

  • Extended health and dental benefits

  • Team member discount program

  • Employee & Family Assistance Program (EFAP)

  • Free on-site parking

  • Positive and inclusive workplace culture

  • Ongoing learning and development opportunities

  • Support and mentorship from leadership

  • Referral bonus program (up to $500)

Application Process

  • All applicants must submit a portfolio with their application.

**Candidates selected for interviews will complete a technical design assignment prior to final selection
