Job Title: Office Building Maintenance WorkerPosition Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Worker to oversee the upkeep, safety, and efficient operation of our office building. The ideal candidate will handle general repairs, preventive maintenance, and ensure the property remains clean, safe, and functional at all times.

Key Responsibilities

Building Maintenance

  • Perform regular inspections and maintenance of the building's interior and exterior.
  • Handle minor plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs.
  • Replace light fixtures, repair doors, and address other routine maintenance issues promptly.
  • Maintain HVAC systems, ensuring filters are changed and systems operate efficiently.
  • Monitor and report any issues requiring external contractors or specialized technicians.

Facility Care

  • Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of common areas, offices, restrooms, and storage spaces.
  • Manage waste disposal and recycling routines.
  • Oversee building security systems (locks, alarms, cameras) and report concerns to management.
  • Support setup for company events, meetings, or renovations when needed.

Preventive Maintenance

  • Develop and follow a preventive maintenance schedule for all equipment and building systems.
  • Keep accurate maintenance records and update logs for all completed tasks.
  • Coordinate regular inspections for fire safety, HVAC, and electrical systems.

Vendor & Contractor Coordination

  • Assist with scheduling and supervising contractors or service providers (e.g., cleaners, electricians, HVAC technicians).
  • Ensure all work performed meets company quality and safety standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification is an asset.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in building or facility maintenance.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must be physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual tasks as required.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
