Our client, a well-established public accounting firm located in North York, is currently seeking a Senior Manager to join their leadership team. This is a key strategic hire for the firm, offering the opportunity to take on meaningful leadership responsibilities, mentor a growing team, and contribute to the firm's long-term success.
About the Role
As the Senior Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing client engagements and supporting the development of the internal team. Responsibilities include:
- Leading and reviewing year-end working papers, financial statements, and tax filings
- Managing and reviewing compilation, review, and audit engagements
- Providing mentorship, coaching, and technical guidance to junior and intermediate staff
- Acting as a primary point of contact for clients, offering advisory recommendations and building long-term relationships
- Supporting workflow planning, staff allocation, and process efficiency initiatives
- Ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to professional standards and deadlines
- Contributing to the strategic growth of the firm's public practice services
The ideal candidate brings:
- Strong experience in public accounting at the Manager or Senior Manager level
- CPA designation
- Advanced knowledge of financial reporting, assurance standards, and corporate/personal tax
- Proficiency with CaseWare and related public practice software
- Proven ability to lead teams, delegate effectively, and develop junior staff
- Excellent communication, client service, and organizational skills
Compensation & Benefits
The firm offers a highly competitive and comprehensive package, including:
- Base salary:
commensurate with experience - Annual performance bonus:
typically ranging from 5%–10% - Comprehensive benefits package
- hybrid work model:
3 days in the office and 2 days working from home
