Position Overview:
As our Product Development Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing tooling development initiatives for our field services, driving process improvements and integrating lessons learned to enhance operational efficiency. The incumbent will provide technical direction, guidance, and leadership to the team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with industry standards. This role reports to the Nuclear Services Design Engineering Manager and will lead a team of two R&D Engineers.

Your Day to Day as our Product Development Manager:
- Lead and manage development projects—both internally and customer-funded—from concept through execution.
- Prepare capital and R&D funding requests, including project proposals and justifications.
- Collaborate with Project Controls to develop project budgets, schedules, and earned value tracking.
- Act as the primary liaison with customers on development initiatives, providing weekly updates to senior leadership.
- Ensure technical compliance with specifications, standards, and quality assurance systems.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks and oversee the patent process where applicable.
- Continuously collect and evaluate R&D ideas from across the organization to drive innovation.
- Assign work, set clear expectations, provide regular feedback, and complete performance evaluations for your team.
- Identify training and development needs to support team growth and project success.
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree or Technical Diploma in Engineering.
- 5 or more years of experience in a nuclear service or similar high-regulation environment.
- Demonstrated success in leading technical teams or engineering projects.
- Solid understanding of Quality Assurance systems.
- Experience with SolidWorks is preferred.
- Hands-on experience in one or more of the following: tooling or machine design, materials engineering, non-destructive examination (NDE), or welding.
Security Clearance:
This role requires the successful candidate to complete the security clearance process. The security clearance process is conducted in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements of the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) and the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) and may take up to 12 months to complete.

The base salary range for this position in Ontario at the start of employment is expected to be between $89,000 and $139,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment.
