Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Print Production Manager with a strong background in the flexible packaging industry to oversee and coordinate the entire production process. This role requires exceptional leadership, technical knowledge, and communication skills to manage a team spanning graphics, printing, converting, and shipping. The ideal candidate will ensure a smooth workflow, efficient production scheduling, high-quality output, and the best customer experience possible.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead the production team across all departments: graphics, digital/press printing, lamination, slitting, pouch converting, and shipping.
  • Oversee day-to-day production activities to ensure projects are completed on time, on budget, and to quality standards.
  • Serve as the main link between departments, ensuring clear communication and a continuous, efficient production flow.
  • Monitor production schedules, resolve bottlenecks, and proactively address issues to avoid delays.
  • Collaborate with the sales, customer service, and graphics teams to ensure accurate job specifications and smooth handoffs.
  • Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for consistency, efficiency, and quality control.
  • Track production metrics and performance KPIs; identify areas for improvement and drive process optimization.
  • Manage inventory of materials, inks, and supplies to ensure uninterrupted production.
  • Enforce safety, cleanliness, and compliance with company and industry standards.
  • Mentor, train, and develop team members to build a strong, collaborative production culture.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in print production management within the flexible packaging industry (digital, flexographic, or gravure printing preferred).
  • Strong understanding of printing, lamination, slitting, and pouch converting processes.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and production workflows.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with production scheduling software or ERP/MRP systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement practices is an asset.

Pay: $55,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
