StarFish Medical is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex electromechanical product development projects from concept to manufacturing.

We design and build medical devices, laboratory equipment, and other advanced hardware systems that integrate mechanical, electrical, and software components. Candidates from the medical device, robotics, aerospace, automation, instrumentation, or automotive industries are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end product development of complex electromechanical systems
  • Lead cross-functional engineering teams (mechanical, electrical, software, and design)
  • Ensure projects meet scope, schedule, and budget targets
  • Oversee design reviews, risk management, and regulatory compliance (ISO 13485 or equivalent)
  • Support manufacturing transfer, including ECR/ECO processes and vendor management
  • Partner with clients to align technical decisions with their business goals
  • Contribute to PMO improvement and mentor junior Project Managers

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in project managing electromechanical or hardware product development
  • Background in regulated industries (medical, aerospace, automation, or similar)
  • Strong understanding of system integration, product realization, and design transfer
  • PMP certification is an asset, not required
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills

Salary

Base Salary: $120,000 - $155,000 annually

Base salary may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.

Annual variable compensation: Target of 5 -10% of base salary, tied to goal achievement

Additional Compensation: Employees are eligible for a profit-sharing program
