Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Dispatcher to join our transportation and logistics team. In this vital role, you will coordinate the scheduling, routing, and tracking of freight and fleet operations to ensure seamless delivery and pickup services. Your proactive communication skills and technical expertise will drive efficiency across our supply chain, supporting our commitment to timely, reliable transportation management. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of logistics operations, utilizing advanced systems and analysis skills to optimize routes and resources.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate dispatching activities by assigning freight loads and vehicle routes using a proprietary transportation management system.
  • Monitor real-time GPS and GIS data to track vehicle locations, optimize routes, and troubleshoot issues promptly.
  • Communicate effectively with drivers, warehouse staff, carriers, while maintaining professional phone etiquette.
  • Enter accurate data related to shipments, deliveries, and fleet movements into various systems including Canada and United States Customs portals.
  • Oversee shipping & receiving processes, ensuring compliance with safety standards and delivery schedules.

Skills

  • Experience with transportation management systems would be an asset but training is provided.
  • Familiarity with freight logistics, shipping & receiving procedures, and fleet management practices.
  • Excellent communication skills with proficiency in phone etiquette and clear verbal/written correspondence.
  • Data entry expertise with high accuracy in fast-paced environments.
  • Analysis skills to interpret transportation data for planning improvements and troubleshooting issues efficiently.
  • Knowledge of 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) operations, supply chain processes, and transportation planning strategies.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.20-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
