Family Physician for Urgent Care Clinics in Kitchener

Two walk -in medical care facilities serving Kitchener and Waterloo area. The clinics have been in operation since 1990 and are owned and operated by Five (5) Family & Emergency Medicine Physicians who are currently active and working at the clinics patients at each location per day. There are 2 -3 physicians working each shift. Atmosphere is collegial and fast paced. There are 11 examining rooms at each location. Because the clinics see substantial number of patients who require non -OHIP services such as notes off work, WSIB, pre -employment physicals, driver's physicals and out of country patients our gross billings are significantly higher than other comparable clinics. About the Clinic: Open 8 -5 on weekdays and 8 -3 on weekends — 363 days of the year. No evening shifts. Ability to close early if the volumes are overwhelming. Patient mix is quite diverse and used to paying for certain services so that there are no arguments over fees. In addition, full service staff members are trained and efficient at triaging and preparing patients in the examining rooms. This clinic is set up for X -rays, lab, suturing, slit lamp etc. and always have RNs working as well. The nurses improve your efficiency by doing all dressings, injections, ECGs, ear syringing etc.; In addition, they will assess and perform vitals on many of the patients. Compensation: Comfortable in a high volume environment. Physicians treat patients, depending on physician comfort/efficiency. Flexible shifts and you can schedule 1 -2 months in advance. Physicians take home earnings of $ per shift.
