Position Overview

The Chef de Partie is an essential member of the kitchen brigade, responsible for executing dishes with consistency, skill, and creativity. This role requires technical proficiency, a strong sense of timing, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, and plate dishes to the restaurant's elevated standard and recipes.

  • Maintain mise en place and organize the station for efficient service.

  • Execute Italian techniques with contemporary interpretation, including sautéing, roasting, braising, and pasta work.

  • Monitor ingredient quality, portioning, and presentation to ensure consistency.

  • Collaborate with chefs and team members to maintain smooth service flow.

  • Follow all sanitation, safety, and food-handling standards.

  • Assist with prep work, inventory management, and maintaining a clean workspace.

  • Contribute ideas for seasonal menu items and special offerings.

  • Work with professionalism, energy, and respect for the team and kitchen culture.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a restaurant kitchen preferred; knowledge of Italian culinary theory a plus.

  • Strong knife skills and knowledge of culinary techniques.

  • Ability to follow recipes and maintain high standards under pressure.

  • Team-oriented, organized, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.

  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Passion for Italian-inspired cuisine with contemporary execution and creativity.
