Location: East GTA

Salary: $65,000-75,000 to start, DOE

Worksite Safety Compliance Centre is looking to grow our current team of instructors, specifically for the delivery of our CPO-approved Working at Heights program. This full-time position reports to the Manager, Instructor-Led Training and will deliver training at Worksite's various East GTA locations (Whitby, Scarborough, North York, Vaughan, etc.) based on a monthly schedule.

As a Health & Safety Instructor your key responsibilities are:

• Delivering engaging and informative Working at Heights training to job seekers, the general public and new and current members of the construction industry
• Evaluating participants through practical skills and written evaluation 
• Organizing, filing and submitting digital and hard copy participant records following training
• Potentially delivering other courses such as Forklift Training, Mobile Elevated Work Platform Training, Confined Space Entry and Rescue and more.
  
• Participating in team meetings and instructor development workshops
  

The right candidate will have the following qualifications and experience: 

• 3+ years experience delivering training
• Background in construction management and/or other fall hazard-related industry 
• Work experience or certification in occupational health & safety preferred
• Strong interest educating people on the importance and value of health & safety training  
• Self-starter who is able to work independently, while also contributing to a team 
• Strong presentation and adult-engagement skills
• Forklift, mobile elevated work platforms and confined space entry and rescue considered an asset
  
• Valid Ontario's Driver Licence - occasional travel by car for work
• Able to legally work in Canada
