Summary:
Our award-winning client is seeking a Division Leader, Engineering & Infrastructure to join their team. Our client is a thriving community experiencing rapid growth, and is seeking a seasoned professional to lead its Engineering & Infrastructure division. Reporting to the Corporate Leader – Growth & Sustainability, the Division Leader will play a critical role in shaping the municipality's future.
Responsibilities:
- Build and inspire a high-performing team, fostering collaboration and innovation.
- Develop and implement long-term engineering strategies aligned with the municipality's goals.
- Oversee land-use planning initiatives, ensuring compliance with zoning bylaws and development standards.
- Manage the municipality's infrastructure assets, including roads, water, wastewater, and drainage systems.
- Lead and coordinate engineering projects from inception to completion, adhering to budget and timelines.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, provincial, and municipal regulations.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including developers, residents, and government agencies.
- Develop and manage the division's budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Transportation Engineering from an accredited university.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) license in Ontario.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive engineering experience in municipal public works.
- Proven leadership and supervisory experience in a unionized environment.
- Strong knowledge of land use planning, development approvals, and infrastructure management processes.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software and applications.
