Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Site Engineer to oversee and coordinate engineering efforts on our project site. Site Engineers work within the Design and Engineering / Project Management and Site Management team using Permasteelisa's proprietary software. The person in this role is responsible for reading and interpreting 2D shop drawings of curtain wall, and then translating them into 3D using Autodesk Inventor and bill of materials for material planning and orders. They will work with Sr. designers, structural engineers, and production managers to translate design concepts into production information. When operating on the job site, they will support the site project team with daily communications, operations, and maintain the Site Quality Control Reports.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately interpret 2D shop drawings into 3D models and BOMs to ensure specifications are effectively communicated to the design and production teams.
  • Tracks and updates the site tracking documentation and executes regular inspections at the determined cadence to maintain QA/QC and progress reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate effectively with various departments, fostering a collaborative team environment and professional growth.
  • Follows standards set forth by the company and project team.
  • Completes tasks within the time allotted or communicates well ahead of deadline with request for support.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree preferred in Architectural Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering
  • Competent in Autodesk Inventor and PMF software
  • Competent in Excel, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, PlanGrid/ACC

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $72,171.00-$120,285.00 per year
