Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated ABA Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with children and adolescents diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and related developmental challenges. Your primary focus will be implementing individualized treatment plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles to help clients achieve personal goals and improve their overall quality of life. This position offers a meaningful opportunity to make a positive and lasting impact on the families we serve.
Duties
- Conduct one-on-one therapy sessions with clients in home, school, or community settings.
- Implement individualized treatment plans designed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Monitor and document client progress, adjusting strategies as needed to support successful outcomes.
- Collaborate with families and caregivers to provide guidance and training on behavior management and skill development.
- Participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development to enhance ABA knowledge and skills.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all professional interactions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology or a related field is preferred.
- Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children and families.
- Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is preferred but not required; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
- Must be able to pass all required background checks.
Additional Requirements
- Must be available for at least two shifts per week during after-school hours.
- Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel throughout Waterloo, Kitchener, and Cambridge.
Job Types: Part-time, Freelance
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 4 per week
