Would you like to see more good in the world?

So would we.

You thrive working in a performance-based, remote-hybrid work environment.

Your typical day would include:

1. Grant Writing: Developing award-winning grant proposals that persuasively communicate the organization's mission and programs to potential funders. This includes designing programs and evaluation metrics as well as producing realistic, detailed and well researched budgets.

2. Quality Control: Reviewing the work of other teammates and providing constructive feedback to ensure that all funding strategies and proposals are complete, airtight and of the highest caliber.

3. Team Training: Provide regular training to the team to up level their knowledge and skills and help to build FundSource26's online learning platform.

As a Senior Grant Development Specialist, you can expect to travel 2-5 times per year for company conferences and to meet with geographically distant clients and to meet with the team in Montreal once a month. For local clients, you will have more frequent opportunities for face-to-face meetings.

What success would look like

You are:

• A masterful writer; you're creative and able to adapt your writing to different audiences including governments, foundations and corporations. You have experience writing highly technical government proposals and are familiar with the language and how to meet the expectations of this audience.

• An independent, fast-learner; you are happy to jump into an organization and educate yourself on the stakeholders, processes, strategies and systems that currently exist. You're not afraid to ask questions and lead your own learning and development. You put yourself out there and possess the experience and confidence to quickly decide on a path forward and execute. You're comfortable being given an end goal and figuring out how to get there on your own.

• A strategic and critical thinker; you are able to see how things fit into a larger picture. You know how to strategically communicate your messages within the context of different organizations and their goals. You can adapt and quickly pivot as you receive new information. When presented with multiple, competing priorities, you are able to understand how to prioritize and achieve the most important steps first.

• A natural born leader and communicator; you love to share all the lessons learnt and frameworks you have developed from years of hands on experience in the field. You are excited about the opportunity to build a grant funding training program, help improve processes and procedures and act as a mentor and coach to our staff.

In the past you've:
