Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Snow Shoveler to assist with snow removal and related outdoor maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe and accessible walkways, driveways, and parking areas during winter months. This role requires physical stamina, attention to safety, and familiarity with various tools and equipment used in outdoor maintenance. The Snow Shoveler will play a vital part in maintaining the safety and appearance of properties during inclement weather conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Clear snow from walkways, driveways, parking lots, and other designated areas using shovels, snow blowers, or other equipment.
  • Apply salt or de-icing materials to prevent ice buildup and ensure safety.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and small machinery such as snow plows or excavators as needed.
  • Perform basic landscape maintenance tasks including lawn care, mowing, tree trimming, and gardening during off-season periods.
  • Assist with landscape projects involving hardscape installation or repair.
  • Conduct routine inspections of outdoor areas to identify hazards or maintenance needs.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of tools and equipment used during snow removal operations.

Skills

  • Mechanical knowledge related to operating small machinery like snow blowers or excavators.
  • Experience with lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening, and horticulture practices.
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment such as excavators or irrigation systems.
  • Knowledge of snow plowing techniques and de-icing procedures for safe outdoor environments.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy loads, shoveling snow for extended periods, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Strong attention to safety protocols to prevent accidents during snow removal operations.
  • Basic landscaping skills including tree care, tree trimming, mowing, and hardscape work are a plus. This position offers an opportunity to work outdoors across different seasons with a focus on safety and property maintenance excellence. Candidates should be prepared for physically demanding work while demonstrating a strong work ethic and attention to detail in outdoor upkeep activities.
