Electrical Supervisor
Further your career in your own backyard. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient and safe installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment and components within assigned facilities.
What you'll do
- Install and perform preventive maintenance on all facility electrical equipment and components, programmable logic control systems and related equipment according to established maintenance guidelines.
- Receive, prioritize and respond to requests for electrical equipment and component repairs.
- Select and install various distribution panels, protective devices, fixtures and related equipment in accordance with electrical code requirements.
- Compile accurate, timely and legible administrative documents including time certificates, job completion reports, purchase orders and expense accounts, both manually and through the use of a computer.
- Keep an adequate inventory of electrical equipment and components, including ordering replacement stock, charging-out stock and maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Train operations staff in safe working practices and the operation and care of electrical and related equipment.
What you bring to the team
- Minimum of three (3) years of related electrical or mechanical experience, as a Journeyman electrician.
- Grade 12, or equivalent, supplemented with a provincial or Inter-Provincial Journeyperson Electrician Certificate.
- Ability to operate and maintain a light duty vehicle used to transport staff, tools and equipment.
- Time management skills
- Electrical or mechanical experience within a facility setting
- Proven ability to follow safe working practices
