Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated instructor therapist to work with client in-home in Brampton. The ideal candidate will implement individualized evidence-based behavioural programs under the supervision of the Registered Behaviour Analyst (RBA).

Duties

  • Implement individualized ABA therapy programs developed by the RBA/BCBA
  • Provide one-to-one therapy sessions with clients, focusing on their specific needs and goals
  • Collect data, record and write session notes using ABA software
  • Provide input on client's treatment plan
  • Prepare session materials
  • Assist in conducting assessments to develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with the RBA/BCBA to ensure ongoing communication
  • Maintain confidentiality and protect the well-being of the client during treatment sessions and when emergency crises arise
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and treatment interventions.
  • Adhere to ethical standards and guidelines
  • Foster a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for children and families during therapy sessions

Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Behavioural Science, Special Education, or related field; or possess a diploma in Autism Behavioural Sciences
  • Experience as an instructor therapist is mandatory
  • Knowledge of Applied Behaviour Analysis principles and techniques is required
  • Knowledge of data collection methods and documentation using behavioural software is an asset
  • Completion of Registered Behaviour Technician (RBT) training is an asset
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience working with children with special needs including severe needs and implementing behaviour support programs
  • Possess a compassionate and patient demeanour
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willing to provide a Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Possess a valid G2 driver's license and a reliable car
