The Kitchen Manager oversees all back-of-house operations, ensuring food quality, safety, and efficiency. This role involves managing kitchen staff, maintaining inventory, controlling costs, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

· Staff Management

· Recruit, train, and supervise kitchen staff.

· Schedule shifts and manage labor costs.

· Foster a positive and productive work environment.

Food Quality & Safety

· Ensure all dishes meet quality standards and presentation guidelines.

· Maintain compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation practices.

· Conduct regular inspections of kitchen equipment and workstations.

Inventory & Cost Control

· Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.

· Reduce waste and manage food costs effectively.

· Track and report on food variance and waste.

· Maintain accurate records for audits and inspections.

Operational Efficiency

· Develop and implement kitchen procedures for smooth operations.

· Coordinate with front-of-house staff for timely service.

· Troubleshoot operational issues promptly.

Qualifications

· Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager or similar role.

· Strong leadership and organizational skills.

· Knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen operations.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

· Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

· Food Handler Certified.

Preferred Skills

· Culinary training or certification.

· Experience with inventory management systems.

· Budgeting and cost control expertise.
