Insight is currently seeking Patient Care Coordinators to join our dynamic and expanding team. This is a remote position on a 1-year temporary contract, with the possibility of extension. The regular shift is from 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday to Friday. Employees will be required to work at least two Saturdays per month, with a day off provided midweek when a Saturday shift is scheduled. Shifts may also include Sundays and statutory holidays as required. Applicants must reside in Alberta.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming calls from various queues to book medical imaging appointments.
  • Liaison with the Medical Receptionist(s), Patient Care Manager, Clinic Supervisors, Coordinators as required to ensure timely Patient Care.
  • Provide valuable feedback in the Development and implementation of protocols as directed by the Patient Care Manager and other administrative staff within the Organization.
  • Check incoming Faxes and contact Physicians and Patients for Medical Imaging appointments.
  • Call out to patients as directed by the Patient Care Manager to rebook, confirm or fill appointments as required.

Skills:

  • Proficiency with medical scheduling systems and customized computer software
  • Working knowledge of medical office routines, imaging protocols, and workflows
  • Strong computer literacy, including data entry and electronic fax handling
  • Task prioritization and time management skills in a remote setting

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma (required)
  • Medical Assistant Diploma or Medical Terminology Certificate with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience (equivalencies may be considered)
  • Previous experience in a high-volume contact center (required)
  • Strong verbal communication and customer interaction skills
