Overview

We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and experience operating press brake machines. This role is essential in ensuring the accurate fabrication of metal components according to specifications. The Press Brake Operator will work closely with other team members to maintain high-quality standards and efficiency in production.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate press brake machines to bend and shape metal components according to blueprints and specifications, utilizing machine safety mechanisms.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to determine the correct bending sequences and dimensions.
  • Perform routine maintenance on press brake equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required tolerances and specifications.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

Experience

  • Familiarity with blueprint reading is essential for understanding project requirements.
  • Experience with plasma cutting, laser cutting, lathe, milling machines, and other fabrication tools is an asset.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
  • Previous experience operating forklifts is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
