Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Store Manager to support the daily operations of our retail location. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, excellent customer service skills, and a comprehensive understanding of retail management. This role involves supervising staff, managing sales and inventory, and ensuring the store meets its operational goals. The Assistant Store Manager will play a key role in fostering a positive shopping environment and driving store success through effective team management and strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations to ensure efficiency and high standards of customer service.
  • Supervise and motivate team members, including recruiting, training, and developing staff to achieve sales targets and maintain store standards.
  • Manage merchandising activities, including pricing, product placement, and inventory control to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Handle POS transactions, cash handling, and bookkeeping with accuracy and integrity.
  • Support marketing efforts by executing promotional campaigns and maintaining visual merchandising standards.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching, and facilitate ongoing training & development for team members.
  • Assist with purchasing decisions, budgeting, and sales management to meet financial objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety regulations, and store procedures.
  • Engage with customers to resolve issues promptly, ensuring a positive shopping experience that encourages repeat business.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling, payroll processing, and maintaining organized records.

Requirements

  • Proven supervisory experience in retail sales or store management.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
  • Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling, bookkeeping, and basic math skills.
  • Knowledge of merchandising, pricing strategies, marketing techniques, and sales management.
  • Experience with recruiting, interviewing, training & development, and performance management.
  • Organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory control and administrative tasks.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently through time management skills.
  • Customer service-oriented mindset with professional phone etiquette.

Pay: $31,674.50-$73,974.95 per year
