Supplier Quality Specialist
to join our our Corporate Quality team in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. In this role, you will serve as both the voice of the customer and an advocate for the company during the design, build, and integration phases of customized equipment. What You'll Get To Do

  • Supplier Evaluation & Development: Participate in the evaluation, qualification, and development of suppliers, managing risks and ensuring readiness to meet company standards.
  • Supplier Training & Continuous Improvement: Provide coaching and feedback to suppliers, leading initiatives that drive ongoing quality and performance improvements.
  • Supplier Audits & Performance Monitoring: Conduct supplier audits, monitor and report on quality, on-time delivery and capability, and share findings with both suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Design & Verification Oversight: Coordinate design changes and buy-off activities for outsourced materials and services, ensuring documentation and approvals are completed.
  • Specification & Schedule Management: Monitor technical specifications, purchase orders, and schedules to ensure suppliers meet project timing and build requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with project management, procurement, engineering, and manufacturing teams to ensure supplier alignment with program goals.
  • Non-Conformance & Corrective Action: Manage supplier Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), investigate root causes, issue and follow up on corrective actions or Eight Disciplines (8Ds), and verify effectiveness.
  • Performance Tracking & Reporting: Maintain supplier data, scorecards, and dashboards, tracking compliance, cost of quality, and continuous improvement results.

What We Are Looking For

  • Education: A Bachelor's Degree is preferred; candidates with sufficient technical experience in Engineering or Manufacturing will also be considered.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong ability to interpret prints and GD&T, with familiarity in special processes, welding, and machining within the custom machine and tooling industry.
  • Quality & Continuous Improvement: Working knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, and quality tools such as root cause analysis, corrective action, and process improvement methodologies.
  • Project & Organizational Skills: Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Demonstrated team-building and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments and with external partners.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to influence and collaborate.
  • Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Travel to the USA may occasionally be required.
