Quality/ Reliability Engineer – Powertrain
We are seeking a Quality/ Reliability Engineer – Powertrain to join our tier one automotive client's team. In this role, you will ensure supplier quality and reliability across powertrain components, drive manufacturing feasibility assessments, and lead critical supplier processes to meet corporate standards.

Location: Windsor, ON

Schedule: onsite, morning shift

Division: Engineering and FEA

Pay Rate: $42/hour with 2 weeks PTO, 10 days holiday pay, and ability to opt into medical, dental, and vision insurance

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement commodity-specific business plans to exceed launch, quality, capacity, and warranty metrics.
  • Lead cross-functional decisions with supplier leadership to resolve open issues.
  • Execute PPAP and APQP processes for supplier readiness.
  • Drive on-site troubleshooting and corrective actions for emergency supplier situations.
  • Support QR procedures, dispute resolution, and data accuracy for QR/PPM.
  • Act as liaison between STA and plant management, supporting daily quality meetings and VRT forums.

Required

  • AIAG APQP, PPAP processes, Quality Assurance/Control
  • Problem-solving and machining expertise
  • 5+ years in manufacturing processes such as casting, machining, welding, brazing, sintering, assembly, or automation programming.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field

Preferred

  • Experience leading multiple assignments under tight timelines; background in manufacturing, maintenance, and quality operations.
