We are seeking a professional and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing appointment scheduling, patient check-in and check-out, and administrative tasks. This role requires excellent communication skills, proficiency with dental software, and a strong understanding of dental and medical terminology. Prior experience with electronic medical records and office management systems is highly valued. The Dental Receptionist plays a vital role in ensuring smooth daily operations and delivering exceptional patient service.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival and departure
- Manage appointment scheduling using dental practice management software such as Maxident Software.
- Verify patient insurance information and update electronic medical records accurately
- Answer multi-line phone systems efficiently, directing calls appropriately
- Collect payments, co-pays, and process billing transactions at the front desk
- Maintain organized patient records in compliance with privacy regulations
- Assist patients with paperwork, forms, and other administrative needs
- Coordinate with dental staff to ensure timely patient flow and appointment adherence
- Handle correspondence, emails, and other administrative communications
- Maintain a clean and welcoming front desk environment
Requirements
- Prior experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a dental/medical office setting preferred
- Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Maxident or alike is highly desirable
- Knowledge of medical terminology and electronic medical records systems
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Office experience in administrative roles is beneficial
- Familiarity with front desk operations in healthcare settings is preferred
- Professional appearance and demeanor with a focus on patient service excellence
- Can speak and understand Tagalog, as the patients are 90% Tagalog speakers.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
