Job Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and personable Birthday Party Host/Host to create memorable experiences for children and their families. This dynamic role involves managing birthday celebrations from start to finish, ensuring guests have a fun, safe, and seamless event. Ideal candidates will possess strong customer service skills, enjoy working with children, and have a flair for creating a lively, engaging atmosphere. Previous experience in events management, hospitality, or theater is a plus.

Duties

  • Welcome guests and oversee the entire birthday party experience, ensuring all activities run smoothly and on schedule
  • Coordinate with parents and children to understand their needs and customize party activities accordingly
  • Manage event setup and cleanup, including decorations, food service, and activity stations
  • Handle guest interactions professionally, resolving any conflicts or issues that arise during the event
  • Facilitate games, entertainment, and activities suitable for children of various ages
  • Manage cash handling for party packages or additional services when applicable
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times, including supervising children during activities and food service
  • Engage guests with public speaking skills to introduce activities or entertain during the event
  • Assist with food service in accordance with health and safety standards when needed

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in events management, hospitality, or guest services is preferred
  • Experience working with children in settings such as schools, camps, or recreational programs is highly desirable
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
  • Excellent communication skills for guest interaction and public speaking opportunities
  • Ability to manage conflict effectively and maintain a positive environment
  • Background in food service or resort hospitality is a plus
  • Lifeguard experience or theater background can be advantageous for engaging entertainment roles
  • Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly
  • Dependability, enthusiasm for working with children, and a team-oriented attitude are essential qualities for success in this role

Job Type: Fixed term contract

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
