The primary responsibilities of this position include:

• Prepare and serve various food items, following proper food handling procedures
• Ensure safe operation of all equipment – Grill, Deep Fryers, BBQ, Beverage machines
• Maintain a clean and organized food service area, including stock room, cooking area, dry storage and dishwashing area
• Notify supervisor or lead when additional inventory is required. Re stocking display areas as needed.
• Greet customers and respond to inquiries in a friendly and efficient manner
• Process payments following established cash handling procedures
• Assist with receiving and stocking food & drink deliveries
• Work in accordance with the Conservation Halton's Safety Policies & Procedures and the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations and all other related manuals.
• Other duties as assigned

• Previous experience in the food industry and customer service is preferred
• Interest in hospitality, restaurant, resort management is an asset
• Strong communication skills, ability to communicate effectively with both customers and various levels of Conservation Halton Staff
• Previous point of sale, Clover device, and cash handling experience are an asset
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds, stand, and walk for long periods of time
• Ability to work a flexible schedule (evenings, nights and holidays), depending on visitation levels
• Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, on varied terrain
• Successful candidates are required to provide a Criminal Record Check (CRC), to verify the absence of a criminal record for which a pardon has not been granted (if over 18 years old). *Cost covered by Conservation Halton up to $30.00.
• Food Handler and/or Smart Serve Certificates are an asset
• CH parks are not accessible by public transit; candidates should ensure they have reliable transportation.

• Starting at $17.55 per hour
• Part time and full-time hours available; hours may vary depending on availability
• Daytime shifts available – Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm
