Senior Maintenance Supervisor

We are seeking a hands on leader who believes a leaders place is on the floor, not behind a desk. This is a critically active role where your primary tools will be your mechanical expertise and your team. You will be the technical anchor, spending the vast majority of your day across our facilities, diagnosing complex issues, performing repairs, and coaching your team through real time challenges. Your mission is to ensure peak operational performance by being the ultimate "player coach" on the front lines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Personally tackle the most complex, urgent breakdowns in CO2 refrigeration systems, MHE (forklifts, pallet jacks), and production equipment. When a critical machine is down, you are expected to be hands on with the tools to get it running
• Use your advanced knowledge to perform cleaning, troubleshooting, retrofits, and improvements on CO2 systems
• Actively perform and oversee Preventive Maintenance (PM) programs, using your expertise to identify potential failures before they occur
• Your primary "office" is the production floor and refrigerated warehouse. Your leadership is demonstrated through action.
• Provide immediate, on the spot coaching and technical guidance to your direct reports. Teach proper techniques, safety procedures, and troubleshooting methodologies at the point of work
• Manage daily work priorities and assign tasks for your team while being physically present to support their efforts. Develop robust shift coverage plans
• Assess team performance based on direct observation of their skills, work quality, and problem solving abilities on the floor
• Demonstrate a strong willingness to step in and work alongside your team on any task, fostering a collaborative and skilled team environment.
• Work with third party vendors (HVAC, repairs, etc), providing on site oversight and ensuring the quality of their work
• Assist in managing maintenance parts inventory and ensure adherence to all legal and food safety regulations (HACCP, CFIA) through daily practices
• Champion a Safety First culture by actively monitoring work practices, conducting safety walks, and immediately correcting unsafe conditions or behaviors
• Conduct root cause analyses for equipment failures and safety incidents, implementing practical, floor based solutions

Qualifications & Skills:

• You are a "player coach" who is uncomfortable sitting at a desk for extended periods
• 5+ years of hands on industrial maintenance experience, with 2+ years in a senior or lead technician/supervisor role (refrigerated warehouse or food production preferred)
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with proven ability to troubleshoot PLCs, HVAC, and MHE
• Working knowledge of CO2 refrigeration systems; certification is a strong asset
• Journeyman status (Millwright, Electrician) is a strong asset
• Proven ability to train, mentor, and develop a technical team from within the action
