Bialik Hebrew Day School is seeking passionate and dedicated Jewish Studies Supply Teachers for our midtown Toronto and Vaughan branches. Successful candidates will be added to our
supply list and be called in to cover Teacher absences as needed.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and interactive lessons in Hebrew.
- Facilitate lesson plans prepared by the classroom teacher.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student learning and growth.
Classroom Management
- Create a positive, safe classroom environment that promotes respect and cooperation.
- Implement effective and developmentally appropriate classroom management strategies to maintain a productive learning atmosphere.
- Manage classroom behaviour in accordance with school policies.
Skills and Experience
- A teaching certificate from Israel or Ontario is recommended.
- Fluency in Hebrew is essential for Jewish Studies.
- Strong knowledge of Tanach and Jewish Studies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for Jewish education and a commitment to fostering a love of learning in students.
