Role Description

We are seeking an English and Social Sciences Academic Tutor for a part-time hybrid role based in Vancouver, BC, with opportunities for remote work. The role involves providing personalized tutoring to individual students or small groups, preparing lesson plans aligned with the students' needs, and assisting them in improving their English language skills, including grammar, writing, and comprehension. Additional responsibilities include monitoring academic progress, providing constructive feedback, and supporting students with effective studying and learning strategies to foster academic achievement and confidence.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Teaching, Tutoring, or conducting Private Classes
  • Strong educational background in English, Education, or related fields
  • Effective Communication and mentoring skills to engage with students
  • Basic knowledge of Mathematics and other core academic concepts is a plus
  • Organizational skills and the ability to design tailored lesson plans
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for fostering students' academic growth
  • Familiarity with online and hybrid teaching tools is an asset
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, English, or a related field is highly desired
