The
Spatial Data Intern
is a dedicated resource for the spatial data group, responsible for quality assurance, file management and maintaining client data. You'll be supporting new tool development that will advance current client offerings.

Contract Dates
: Feb-April 2026

Work Arrangement
: Hybrid with on-site presence at BGIS's Markham Head Office

Key Duties And Responsibilities

  • Identifying & annotating building attributes and assets within 3D virtual tours
  • Embedding existing industry standards into asset collection methodology
  • Reviewing, analyzing and actioning results from computer vision models & the correlating virtual location survey
  • Reviews and prepares "virtual location survey's" (VLS) for 3rd party completion.
  • Assembles reports for each VLS.
  • Ensures quality and consistency across all VLS reports.
  • Uploads all new VLS reports and keep files up to date for all clients.
  • Works closely with Spatial Data specialist(s) and Capital planning team to ensure timely delivery of reports.
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge & Skills

  • Currently pursuing a degree/diploma in a relevant field such as Business Administration or Data Management
  • Experience in Administration, Project Coordination or Data Management an asset
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office Excel along with an ability to learn software applications quickly
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to review data for reasonability and to identify anomalies
  • Ability to coordinate and monitor workflow to ensure timely completion of activities along with strong organizational skills
  • Effective verbal communication skills for the purpose of conveying data anomalies, coordinating workflow activities and providing software end user training

This is a full-time, contract position with a salary range of $19 - $23 per hour. The starting salary will be based on the successful candidate's competencies, including but not limited to experience, education and performance related to this role.
