Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cabinet Finisher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for woodworking and a strong understanding of cabinet finishing techniques. This role involves preparing, finishing, and inspecting cabinets to ensure they meet high-quality standards. The Cabinet Finisher will work closely with other team members to deliver exceptional products that exceed customer expectations.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces for finishing by sanding, cleaning, and applying stains or paints.
- Operate various power tools and equipment safely and efficiently to achieve desired finishes.
- Read and interpret blueprints to understand project specifications and requirements.
- Collaborate with carpenters and other tradespeople during the installation process.
- Ensure product quality by performing diagnostics (color, coating thickness, gloss, etc.).
- Communicate material, equipment, and tool needs to the Finishing Supervisor.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Lift heavy materials and products as required during the finishing process.
- Provide training and direction to employees, ensuring smooth workflow coordination.
- Record and analyze production data and metrics.
- Work with other departments to ensure timely fulfillment of production goals.
- Troubleshoot machinery issues and report required repairs
Skills
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, with leadership experience preferred.
- Experience with machinery maintenance, quality checks, and safety compliance.
- Experience with CNC machinery is advantageous for precision work.
- Familiarity with various power tools used in cabinet finishing and woodworking.
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods during work hours.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality finishes on all cabinetry projects.
