**Compensation**:$50,000 - $100,000 annually based on piecework
**Responsibilities**:
**General Construction**:
- Read and interpret blueprints and design plans to meet client specifications.
- Measure, cut, and assemble materials for various construction projects.
- Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards and in compliance with local building codes and health and safety regulations.
- Perform adjustments and refinements to ensure a perfect fit and finish.
**Specialized Trades**:
- Framing: Construct and install the framework of buildings, including walls, floors, and roofs.
- Electrical: Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Plumbing: Install and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures for water, gas, and drainage systems.
- HVAC: Install and service heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
- Insulation: Install and replace insulation materials for thermal efficiency.
- Drywall Installation and Finishing: Hang, tape, and finish drywall to a high standard.
- Masonry: Lay and bind building materials such as brick, concrete, and stone.
- Tiling: Lay tiles for floors, walls, and other surfaces.
- Cabinet Making and Installation: Measure, cut, and assemble custom cabinets; install cabinets in various spaces.
- Countertop Fabrication: Measure, cut, and install countertops using various materials.
- Flooring: Install and repair various types of flooring materials.
- Roofing: Install and repair roofs using various materials.
- Carpentry: Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood and other materials.
**Collaboration**:
- Work closely with project managers, designers, and other trades to ensure seamless integration of all construction elements into the overall project.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide exceptional service.
**Qualifications**:
- Proven experience in one or more trades within the construction industry.
- Minimum 5 years of experience verifiable through references.
- Proficiency in using tools and machinery relevant to the trade.
- Strong understanding of construction techniques and principles.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in craftsmanship.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Must have own vehicle, tools, and equipment.
- Must carry their own Liability Insurance and Workers Comp (WSIB).
- Must be willing to undergo and pass a criminal background check.
- Knowledge of all applicable health and safety standards.
- Skill in estimating time and material requirements for work projects.
- Must be able to wear and use appropriate personal protective equipment, as necessary.
- Deadline and detail-oriented.
- Ability to independently solve problems.
- Customer service-oriented, with a commitment to getting the job done right.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must have a smartphone and basic computer skills for dispatching orders.
- Highly organized and self-motivated.
- Quality conscious and detail-oriented.
- Must be clean and tidy.
- Strong physical condition and excellent hand dexterity.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Driver’s license required.
**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: $50,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
