We are currently looking for lawyers with 5+ years' top-tier post-qualification experience in Compliance, Regulatory and Ethics within Industrial/Energy, Healthcare or Financial Services organisations.
Examples of opportunities include:
6 months – Abu Dhabi – International Financial Institute. Seeking a regulatory and compliance lawyer with deep international financial regulatory experience. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable expertise in AML and sanctions frameworks, including design and enhancement of controls and monitoring systems, complex internal investigations, and regulatory engagement with local and cross-border authorities. Experience advising on prudential and conduct requirements, policy development, remediation programs, and regulatory change management is preferred. Arabic language skills and exposure to UAE and wider GCC regulatory regimes would be advantageous
6 months – UAE – International Industrial Client. Looking for an experienced compliance and ethics counsel to build and operationalise a best-in-class compliance programme. Responsibilities include drafting and implementing codes of conduct and ethics policies, conducting enterprise and business-unit risk assessments, designing third‑party and M&A due diligence protocols, and managing whistleblowing frameworks and internal investigations. Experience delivering training, overseeing compliance monitoring and remediation, and reporting to senior leadership and boards is desired. Familiarity with UAE labour and corporate frameworks and international standards
Our Criteria
Successful candidates will:
- Have a minimum of five years' post-qualification experience at a law firm ranked as top tier within their specialism
- Ideally have recent in-house experience supporting Compliance/Regulatory/Ethics activities
- Preferably have experience in the Middle East and fluency in Arabic.
- Have a desire to take ownership of their career and be responsible for their own professional development and network, proactively making use of any support and resources available.
- Have researched the personal and financial factors that you need to consider when commencing a career as a legal consultant and be comfortable with the ways in which it differs from permanent employment.
- Have a consultant mindset, including a highly professional, flexible and adaptable outlook and approach.
- Have a practising certificate (or equivalent) which entitles them to practise as a lawyer in the region.
