Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and optimizing CNC programs to produce high-precision components. This role requires a strong understanding of CNC machining processes, mechanical knowledge, and proficiency with CAD/CAM software. The CNC Programmer will play a vital role in ensuring efficient production, quality standards, and continuous improvement within our manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and optimize CNC programs for various machines including CNC lathe, CNC milling machine, and CNC machining centers using Fanuc controls.
  • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models created in SolidWorks or other CAD software to generate accurate machining instructions.
  • Set up and operate CNC machines, ensuring proper tooling and calibration for each job.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, calipers, and other measurement devices to verify part dimensions and quality.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure parts meet design requirements.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting on CNC equipment and make necessary adjustments to maintain production flow.
  • Maintain documentation of programs, setups, and process improvements for future reference.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams on lean manufacturing initiatives, assembly processes, and quality control procedures.
  • Assist in training team members on CNC programming standards and machine operation best practices.

Requirements

  • Proven experience with CNC programming, particularly with Fanuc controls.
  • Mechanical knowledge with a solid understanding of machining processes including machining techniques for CNC lathe and milling machines.
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks and general blueprint reading skills.
  • Basic math skills necessary for precise measurements and calculations in machining operations.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing environments, including use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, forklifts, and calipers.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to promote efficiency and waste reduction.
  • Ability to read technical drawings accurately and interpret specifications for production accuracy.
  • Experience with assembly processes is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail to ensure high-quality output.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.14-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
