We are seeking an Occupational Health and Safety Student, for our Regina District, within our Canadian Buildings Division that is available for 4 , 8 , 12 or 16 months starting January 2026.

Responsibilities
Assisting the HSE Professional with inspections and incidental investigationsManaging documents (ie. data entry, SMC entries, taking minutes, filing etc.)Assisting with the orientation of new employeesDeveloping of training materialsReviewing paperwork (ie. PSI, tailgate meetings, safework procedure, trend analysis)Monitoring and maintaining the environmental programRecognizing and following PCL and local legislative requirementsAnalyzing site-specific trends and incidents and reporting findings to districtGathering/reviewing/distributing safety-related statistical informationInterpreting, communicating, and reinforcing project safety standards to workforce Qualifications
Ability to implement HSE program elements and safe operating proceduresKnowledge of environmental requirements and the ability to implement systems which meet complianceAbility to plan and employ preventative measures to reduce the risks of exposure to hazardsThe ability to determine the cause of an incident, and to initiate and implement corrective action to prevent the likelihood of reoccurrenceExcellent communication skills (written and verbal)Strong willingness to learn
