Location - This role is hybrid with a mix of remote and in-person work at North Campus Edmonton.
As an Academic Advisor within the Faculty of Nursing, you'll play a vital role in guiding students through their academic journey, helping them navigate complex decisions with confidence. You'll be the go-to expert for tackling non-routine queries, from course selection to understanding academic policies, ensuring students make informed choices every step of the way.
You will assess applications based on established procedures, and provide clear guidance on degree requirements, academic standing, deadlines, and the acceptance of exchange or transfer credits. Monitoring student registrations and keeping track of students who are out of sequence will also be part of your responsibilities, ensuring that all students stay on track with their academic goals.
Additionally, you will provide advice on academic exchanges and course transfers, offering students opportunities to broaden their horizons. And when life outside the classroom presents challenges, you'll be there to listen, providing advice and connecting students to the resources they need for support.
