Our small, indoor doggy daycare and boarding facility is looking for a caring, dependable Overnight Dog Boarding Attendant/Night Nanny who can stay over-nights with our pack dogs during their boards.

This role is perfect for someone who finds comfort in caring for dogs and wants to provide them with a calm, safe presence while they sleep.

What We're Looking For (Must-Haves):

  • A genuine love for dogs and animal care
  • Experience caring for dogs (professional, volunteer, or personal experience)
  • Comfortable sleeping overnight at the facility with boarding dogs
  • Ability to respond calmly and responsibly to dogs needing attention during the night
  • Reliable, trustworthy, and attentive
  • Knowledge of dog behaviour and possible stress signals

Responsibilities:

  • Staying overnight at the facility to ensure the safety and comfort of boarding dogs
  • Sleeping in designated overnight accommodations with or near the dogs
  • Providing potty breaks as needed
  • Monitoring dog behaviour and well-being throughout the night
  • Administering basic care such as feeding, watering, and comforting dogs
  • Maintaining a clean and calm overnight environment
  • Reporting any concerns or incidents to management

Nice to Have (But Not Required):

  • Experience in dog boarding, daycare, or veterinary care
  • Pet first aid or CPR certification
