Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Snow Plow Operator to efficiently clear snow and ice from designated roadways, parking lots, and walkways during winter months. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating heavy machinery and possess mechanical knowledge to ensure safe and effective snow removal operations. This role is essential for maintaining safe access and mobility during inclement weather conditions, contributing to the safety of the community and property. Also looking for snow shovelers

Duties

  • Snow Shovelling (walkways) /Snow blowing
  • Operate snow plow trucks and related equipment to remove snow and ice from roads, parking lots, driveways, and walkways.
  • Conduct pre-operation inspections of plow vehicles to ensure safety and proper functioning.
  • Apply salt or other de-icing materials as needed to prevent ice formation.
  • Perform routine maintenance on plow equipment, including mechanical adjustments and minor repairs using hand tools or power tools.

Skills

  • Proven experience operating snow plows or similar heavy machinery such as excavators.
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic maintenance procedures.
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures related to machinery operation and winter weather conditions.
  • Ability to work independently in adverse weather conditions while maintaining attention to safety standards.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual tasks, including lifting, shovelling, or maneuvering equipment in cold environments. This position offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to community safety during winter months while utilizing a diverse set of mechanical and landscaping skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.31-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
