The Delivery Services Team is seeking a Program Manager/Director—a senior leader who will oversee the strategic direction, own the program delivery, and ensure the overall success of the program by meeting the client expectations.
What you will do:
- Provide day-to-day direction and technical leadership to the engagement team, coordinating multiple projects or delivering a single large-scale initiative.
- Apply expertise in emerging trends and program management practices within the consulting discipline, leveraging knowledge of relevant products, tools, and techniques to drive program success.
- Lead risk management activities, proactively identifying and resolving issues, and maintaining fiscal control throughout the program lifecycle.
- Collaborate closely with the client's Program Manager to align expectations and optimize program delivery.
- Develop and implement communication strategies for client executives, program sponsors, and other key stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain senior management support for the program, ensuring alignment between business objectives and engagement goals.
- Serve as the single point of accountability for delivering the program in accordance with established commitments, reporting to both the client's Executive Sponsor and KPMG's Engagement Partner.
- Manage resources and oversee the team to ensure proper staffing and effective program management.
- Lead and mentor KPMG senior managers and managers assigned to the program, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Conduct quality reviews of high-level deliverables, ensuring adherence to quality assurance procedures and standards.
- Oversee work plans associated with the program charter and scope of work, including resource allocation, scheduling, and task management to ensure successful execution.
What you bring to this role:
- Bachelor's degree is an asset, preferably in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration, Commerce, or related field.
- Advanced negotiation skills, enabling you to achieve positive outcomes in complex stakeholder environments.
- Extensive experience in program management, with a proven ability to lead large-scale initiatives from inception to completion.
- Strong risk management capabilities, allowing you to proactively identify, assess, and mitigate program risks.
- Strong people management abilities, including effective conflict resolution skills, ensuring that disputes among team members and stakeholders are handled promptly and constructively.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Expertise in budgeting and forecasting, supporting accurate financial planning and control throughout the program lifecycle.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, fostering productive relationships with clients, sponsors, and executive leadership.
